Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS – The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball swept games at Natrona county the Lady Broncs held off NC late to win 42-40, here’s Head coach Ryan Sullivan.

League play starts with the Gillette schools this weekend.

The Broncs also held off Natrona county posting their 9th straight win 54-45, Head coach Jeff Martini.

And now conference play with two of their big rivals from Gillette.

they play at Campbell country Friday night and host Thunder Basin Saturday.

BH HOOPS – The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams split games with with Shoshoni Friday with the Rams coming away with the win they dropped both home games with Tongue River Saturday.

TR HOOPS – The Tongue River teams both beat Wright at home Friday and picked the victories at Big Horn Saturday.

AC HOOPS – The Arvada / Clearmont Panthers and Lady Panthers went 1-5 combined at the annual Little Six tournament in Meeteetse the Lady Panthers picked up the lone victory beating Ft. Washakie

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Bronc swimmers and divers finished in 6th place at the Cheyenne invitational Saturday.

WRESTLING – The Bronc wrestlers hosted the Border War duals and went 3-1 with victories over Billings Skyview and West and Laurel Montana their loss was against Billings Senior.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks dropped both games at the Badlands Sabres in Rapid City by scores of 5-1 and 7-3, the Hawks are back on the home ice this week against Yellowstone on Friday and Saturday night.

UW HOOPS – The Wyoming basketball Cowboys won at Utah state Saturday night 71-69 tonight they play at Nevada you can hear the game live on KWYO and 106.9 FM pregame at 5:30 and the tip off at 6:00.

The Cowgirls beat the Air Force Academy 57-54 they play at Boise state Wednesday.
