TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers split their double header in Casper Saturday they dropped the first game 12-7 and too the second game 15-0.
Sunday they swept the 406 Flyers the troops took the first game 4-3 with a walk off RBI single from Caden Steel they came back to win the second game 5-1.
Head coach Ben Phillips said they hung in long enough to have a chance to win it in their final at bat.
In the comeback they got a walk, a sac bunt, single, stolen base and the game winning single.
And Phillips says it’s been tough to get a feel for the team as a whole but they’ll get another good look this weekend with two home double headers.
They host the Billings Royals Saturday and Laurel, Montana Sunday both double headers start at 1:00.
SOCCER – The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams dropped games with Thunder Basin Friday night to end the regular season.
The Broncs lost 3-1 the Lady Broncs 1-0 they will be in Gillette this week trying to qualify for the state tournament Regionals start Thursday.
TRACK AND FIELD – The Sheridan high school track teams will be in Casper for their regional meet Friday and Saturday.
The Big Horn and Tongue River track teams will compete at their Regional in Torrington
GOLF – The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers will play in Gillette Thursday and a week from today the spring golf season closes at the Conference tournament in Cheyenne.
