Hawks Open 2nd Round Playoffs Thursday / Troopers / Jets Baseball Prep Continues

HAWKS HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks swept their opening round playoff series with the Missoula Bruins now the Hawks move into the 2nd round against the Great Falls Americans game one will be played in Great Falls Thursday night at 7:00.

The Hawks will host game two Friday night at 7:30 game three if needed will be played Saturday night at 7:30 at the M&M Center.

SOCCER – The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams get back into action this week against Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East the Lady Broncs will play on the road the Broncs will host both games game times Friday are 4:00 and 6:00 Saturday’s games are at 10:00 and noon.

TRACK AND FIELD – The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams have a few meets scheduled this week, there is a meet Thursday over in the Big Horn Basin the varsity teams will compete at an invitational in Casper Saturday and several athletes will compete at a meet Saturday hosted by Tongue River high school.

TENNIS – The Sheridan high school tennis teams open their short spring season Saturday hosting matches with Powell.

GOLF – The Sheridan high school golfers open practice this week their first spring tournament will be on the 16th in Buffalo.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers and Jets continue preparations for the start of their seasons Monday the Jets held a big scrimmage the Troopers did that this past weekend.

Troopers Head coach Ben Phillips says having the new turf infield at Thorne-Rider stadium has given them a great head start to off season workouts and more practice opportunities.

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies continue their home stand tonight with Arizona game one can be heard live on Smart Talk 106.3 FM first pitch is at 6:40.
