Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

TRACK / FIELD – The spring high school sports season started Friday with the Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams sweeping duals with Buffalo.

The Lady Broncs won 85-59 the Broncs won 95-31 this week they compete at an invitational over in Cody Saturday.

SOCCER – The Lady Bronc soccer teams opened the season with two victories they beat Buffalo

6-1 and shut out Worland on the road 4-0.

The Broncs split the opening weekend beating Buffalo 4-0 and lost at Worland 4-1.

COWGIRLS HOOPS – The Wyoming Cowgirls open the women’s NCAA tournament tonight against UCLA the game will tip at 8:00 and we will have it live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Cowgirls Head coach Gerald Mattinson talks about the Bruins and says the Cowgirls have a tough opponent tonight.

HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks ran their record to 37-1 with road wins at Gillette they beat the Wild Friday 3-2 and Saturday by the same score.

They will close out the regular season at home Friday and Saturday night against Helena, Montana.
