BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL – The Sheridan high school basketball teams opened the post season Thursday.
The Broncs beat Casper Kelly Walsh 66-61 to open the post season Thursday that qualified them for the state tournament then they let one get away and lost to Thunder Basin last night 72-65 in overtime.
The Broncs led most of the way but in the final 2:30 of regulation they fell apart and allowed Thunder to tie the game at 59 and send it into OT but the damage had been done and Thunder made the most of the opportunity after a brutal loss Head coach Jeff Martini.
Now they have one day to get ready to play a state seeding game tomorrow afternoon in Cheyenne.
The Lady Broncs came away with a stunner yesterday beating Campbell county 53-44 to advance to the state tournament they led wire to wire for the victory they got beat by Thunder Basin last night 67-33 and will play in Cheyenne tomorrow,
We will be in Cheyenne at South high school and will broadcast both games live for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM.
The Lady Broncs will open the day at 11:00 am against Cheyenne Central the Broncs will follow at 1:00 pm against Cheyenne East.
The class 4-A state tournament opens next Friday in Casper.
BIG HORN RAMS BASKETBALL – The Big Horn Rams open the 2-A state basketball tournament today taking on Big Piney at Casper college at noon.
COWBOY BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys lost at Utah state last night 72-59 they host UNLV tomorrow night at 9:00 you can hear it live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.
JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks host the Yellowstone Quake from Cody they drop the puck tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30.
