High School Sports Takes a Pause / Hawks Junior Hockey Back on the ice New Year’s Eve

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS – The high school winter sports season is on a break until the first weekend January all teams are pointing toward the 8th and 9th but the Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams will open on Thursday the 7th with games against Buffalo then host back to back home games with Billings Central high school and Laurel, Montana.

The Lady Broncs are 2-1 the Broncs are 3-0 and Head coach Jeff Martini says the Broncs will enjoy a few days off then look forward to resuming the schedule with three really good opponents.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks are off until December 31st when they play at Bozeman, Montana then host games with Gillette New Year’s day evening and on January 2nd.

COWBOY HOOPS – The Wyoming basketball Cowboys are off until they open MWC play on the road at Fresno state January 2nd and 4th.

COWGIRL HOOPS – The Wyoming Cowgirls are off until they host games with Fresno state January 2nd and 4th.

BRONCO FOOTBALL – The Denver Broncos play at the LA Chargers Sunday afternoon kickoff is at 2:05 on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

WRESTLING – The Bronc wrestlers are off until they open in January at the Shane Shatto invitational in Douglas January 8th.

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Bronc swimmers and divers will host two events on the 8th and 9th.

INDOOR TRACK – The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track teams open practice the first week in January with the first meet on the 16th.

BH HOOPS – The Big Horn basketball teams open January 8th and 9th with games against Shoshoni and Southeast.

TR HOOPS – The Tongue River teams open the new year with Upton and Riverside.
