Weekend Sports Wrap up

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks swept their weekend series with Yellowstone Quake by scores of 10-2 and 9-0.

COWBOY FOOTBALL – The Wyoming football Cowboys lost at New Mexico 17-16, the Pokes end their season Saturday at home with Boise state

BRONCO FOOTBALL – The Denver Broncos lost at Kansas City last night 22-16 this week they play at Carolina Sunday.

UW HOOPS – The Wyoming basketball Cowboys won a road game at Oregon state Sunday 76-73. The Cowgirls won their season opener beating Denver University 79-67.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS – The Sheridan high school basketball teams open the season Thursday night with games against Evanston games times are at 5:30 and 7:00 we will be broadcasting all the action for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says the number of spectators at home games will be restricted.

And he went onto says the students have done a good job of playing through all the COVID protocols.

INDOOR TRACK – The 2021 high school indoor track season has been given the go ahead from the Wyoming high school activities association to begin in January with many COVID 19 protocols.

WRESTLING – The Bronc wrestlers will open with multiple dual matches in Cody and Powell Friday and Saturday.

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Bronc swimmers and divers begin their season in Gillette Friday.
