Tongue River Boys Basketball Team Blitzes Big Piney In First Round Of 2024 2A State Tournament

The Eagles raced out to a 22-4 lead at the end of the first quarter, and buried Big Piney 62-39 in the first round of the Wyoming High School Activities Association 2A Boys Basketball State Tournament.

TR shot 55.6% in the first half compared to BP’s 20.8%, and outrebounded the Punchers 45-27.

Four of the five starters for Tongue River scored in double figures.

Caleb Kilbride and Logan Rosics each put in 13 points, while Colter Hanft added in 11 and Kole Spotted contributed with 10.

The Eagles play Wyoming Indian in the semi-finals on Friday, March 1st at the Ford Wyoming Center, beginning at 7:30pm.
