Sheridan Bronc Football Player Gives Verbal Commitment to the University Of Wyoming: A Sheridan Bronc football player and this year’s 4A lineman of the year has announced he will play for the brown and gold.

Alex Haswell has given a verbal commitment to play football at the University of Wyoming.

The senior made the announcement on X, which is formerly known as Twitter.

This past season Haswell had 34 tackles (18 of them solo), 7 tackles for losses including 1 sack, forced 1 fumble and blocked 1 punt.

The early signing period for those enrolling in their Division 1 University of choice for football is December 20-22.

The regular signing period is February 7 – April 1 2024.

The Wyoming Cowboy football team will conclude the 2023 regular season this Saturday at Nevada.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm and you can hear that game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.


Girls Wrestling: Wrestling practice started earlier this week and this will be the second year for girls wrestling in the state.

Last year the Sheridan Lady Broncs took 9 wrestlers to the state meet and came back with the 3rd place trophy along with 1 state champ.

Coach Marci Lane says last year was a bit of a feel out year, for all girls wrestlers in the state.

This year is more about each wrestler learning about what their potential could be.

Competition starts 2 weeks from tomorrow.


University Of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls defeated Chadron State yesterday 78-to-32.

Marta Savic led all scorers with 16 points, while Allyson Fertig contributed with 14 of her own.

UW is now 3-2 on the season.

The next scheduled game is next Tuesday at home vs. BYU.

Tip off is set for 6:30pm.

The Wyoming Cowboys will be back on the court Sunday at Texas.

Tipoff for that game is at 1pm.


Sheridan Hawks Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks are back at home this weekend vs. Cody.

The puck drops at 7:30pm both Friday and Saturday.

Sheridan is 4-16 on the season, but 2 of the 4 wins were at Cody last month.

The opposition is winless in 18 tries so far this season.
