State Track and Soccer day one / Troopers at Casper Saturday and Home Sunday / Rockies v Mets Tonight

STATE TRACK – Opening day at the state track and field championships in Casper had mixed results in the weather as officials needed to postpone some events on to today’s roster of events while some events did go off as planned yesterday.

STATE SOCCER – The Sheridan high school soccer teams opened the Wyoming state soccer championships yesterday in Cheyenne.

The Lady Broncs took a tough loss while the Broncs advanced to day’s semi finals.

The Lady Broncs dropped their match with Jackson by a score of 2-1 and face Laramie in an elimination game today.

The Broncs whipped Star Valley 4-0 and will play Casper Kelly Walsh in one of the semi final matches this afternoon.

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers play a road double header at Casper tomorrow they will be at home Sunday for a double header with the Billings Scarlets.

Sheridan high school coach and teacher Corey Hamrick is his second year helping run Sheridan American Legion baseball and says it’s been great to see the youth baseball numbers in Sheridan increase.

And with four teams in the legion program this year several very good coaches have stepped up to help out.
