Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC BASKETBALL – The Sheridan Broncs closed out their basketball season dropping a classic 3OT game to Casper Kelly Walsh Saturday in the 3rd place game of the state tournament.

Head coach Jeff Martini says it was a heck of a battle for the final game of the season.

It was the 5th time the two played this season and both teams showed up and went at it.

It was really and up an down season for the Broncs, Martini says the players did a great job of working through the tough times.

And finally the senior class was the glue for this club and Jeff says they played a lot of minutes for the program for the last four years.

UW BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys are a 12 seed will open the men’s NCAA basketball tournament tomorrow night in one of the play in games against Indiana, the game will be played in Dayton. Ohio and will tip off a little after 7:00 and we will have it for you on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The Cowgirls get the WNIT this season game announcements will come later today.

SOCCER – The high school spring sports season starts this week the Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams play at Buffalo Friday then host games with Cody on Saturday.

TRACK AND FIELD – The Sheridan high school track teams are set this week as well with a couple of meets on their schedule either at Natrona county or Buffalo.
