A Celebration of Life for Jeanne Jenkins, 87 year Buffalo resident who passed away quietly Tuesday afternoon at the Johnson County Healthcare Center in Buffalo, will be held Monday, December 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from the New Life Assembly Church with Scott Lee officiating.  Donations in Jeanne’s memory may be made to Buffalo Senior Center Meals on Wheels care of Harness Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com

Jeanne Audette Jenkins was born to Daniel and Emma Koch, on July 22, 1932, in Buffalo, Wyoming.  She was one of four Koch children that grew up in the 4-mile area; Jeanne graduated from Johnson County High School in 1950.  On July 22, 1950, she married Robert Jenkins in Rapid City, South Dakota.  Jeanne and Bob had 5 children; daughters Connie and Cathy, and sons, David, Glen and Wayne.

Jeanne and Robert worked side by side throughout their lives, whether they were in the hayfield, working in the garden, or building houses.  They were true partners and helpmates.  Jeanne loved to garden, sewed beautiful quilts, and cooked wonderful homemade meals, all from scratch.  They were members of The Church of God. Jeanne is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert; daughters, Connie and Henry Peter of Bethel, Alaska, and Cathy and David Hendricks of Kalispell, Montana; sons, Glen Jenkins, of Buffalo, Wyoming, Wayne and Rhonda Jenkins of Dillingham, Alaska; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and brothers Roger Koch of Newcastle, Dale and Merle Koch of Ranchester; and sister-in-law Emily Koch of Kaycee. She was preceded in death by her parents, son David Jenkins, and brother Ken Koch.
