DeDe Musselman

Funeral services for Almeda “DeDe” Musselman, 87 year old Buffalo resident who passed away peacefully Monday at her home, will be held Saturday, March 13^th at 3:00 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Horns at 189 N. Cedar in Buffalo with Pastor Paul Gilbert officiating. A separate celebration of life will be held in Denver on a date to be announced. Donations in DeDe’s memory may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Horns in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. DeDe was born March 2, 1934 to William and Helen Ryan in Akron, Ohio, the youngest of four children.  DeDe graduated from high school in Akron.  She later married William “Bill” Musselman on May 17, 1958.   Bill was an engineer and businessman, making it possible for him and DeDe to live in multiple cities until settling in Denver in 1965.  She was a loving and devoted wife to Bill, and mother to, Kim, Todd, Scott, Mark and Jeff.  DeDe purposefully selected their home to be near Ketring Lake so her kids could roam free and have adventures. They enjoyed a wonderful life there for over 55 years.  Above everything else Dede loved not only her own children, but any child that was in need.  Her home was always open and she became a motherly figure to many, many children, not just her own.  Dede had a servant’s heart.  She was always serving others, with delicious food, tending to both people and animals, being a steward of the outdoors.  Bill passed away in December of 2016.  In 2020 she moved to Buffalo and lived here with Scott and Jolene, along with their kids, until her death.

She always had a beautiful twinkle in her eye, and loved to have fun.  She showed love and compassion to everyone that she met.  She hated injustice, especially when children were involved. DeDe always said that her kids were her gold, and she leaves a legacy of love and family.  The family finds comfort knowing that she has been reunited with Bill and other family that welcomed her into the heavenly realm. She will be sorely missed by daughter Kim Musselman of Monument, CO; sons, Todd and Beth Musselman and their three children of Steamboat, CO, Scott and Jolene Musselman and their four children of Buffalo, Mark Musselman and his four children of Denver, CO, and Jeff and Heather Musselman and their three children of Bozeman, MT; along with her sister, Gloria Stadvec of Akron, OH.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Musselman, and brothers Bob and Bill Ryan.
