This saddens our hearts as we just spent time with him last weekend and he was telling us of the many plans he had. He was such a peaceful man full of love for our Lord. May he now rest in peace.

Fr. Beavers was a sincere and caring person whose wisdom was respected by many beyond his parishes as he was asked and served as chaplain at the WY capital.

I had the opportunity to work with and for Father Beavers at St. Joseph’s Children’s Home in the 70’s; he did so much good for the children and staff. We remained friends ever since we met. He was an inspiration for me and for so many. What a shock to hear the news today. Such a fine human being.

I am profoundly saddened; however joyful for the soul of Fr. Beavers. I first met Fr. Beavers when I was an altar boy at Cheyenne St.Mary’s, and was aware of his service to the Catholic Church in various places in Wyoming. He presided at my mother’s services with an inspiring homily in 1992. Wonderful and witty man. RIP.

Fr. Beavers is a holy and wonderful priest that I have ever known since 1993. He always appreciated all the other persons’ action or doing toward him or other people, no matter how small of the action or service. Will miss him a lot! But he is with the Lord now, will pray for him! Fr. Beavers, please pray to God for us too!

FATHER CARL WAS A WALKING SAINT–HE NOT ONLY HELPED THE PEOPLE OF WYOMING–BUT HE TOUCHED THE WHOLE WORLD. INTELLIGENT–HUMBLE AND HOLY. HE LEAVES AND EMPTY SPACE IN THE WORLD OF THE HOLY–GOD BLESS HIM AND GOD BLESS ALL THAT HE TOUCHED.

Father Beavers was the best priest I ever knew. Among his many legacies is Our Lady of the Mountain in Jackson

I first met Rev Carl Beavers in 1983 when he replaced Monsignor O Neal as the Pastor of Saint Mary’s Cathedral. He trained me as one of the first Eucharistic Ministers . I served Mass with him a lot, but my favorite memory was wham Father Carl came to teach my wife’s Second Grade CCD classses about the Mass. He would sit down on the floor behind a very short “altar” and speak to them about all that was going on and all about all of the items used during the service. The kids loved it, and so did I.

Father Carl Beavers, A True Wyoming Treasure:
Caren and I, together with our entire family, are profoundly saddened upon the recent passing of Fr. Carl Beavers. How lucky and blessed we were to have received his wisdom, care, advice, and love for over thirty-five years beginning when he first arrived at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Cheyenne. From that time forward, he was ever present in our lives, during every important milestone, both in times joy and in times of sorrow.
In the end, throughout this incredible journey which we call life, we are extremely blessed if we are fortunate to have people among us who can teach us, lead us by example, and inspire us to find the meaning of life that God desires for each of us. Here, and all across Wyoming, we are especially blessed to have had Fr. Beavers in our midst. He is truly a Wyoming treasure – a man impressively learned in a vast range of topics from farming, to oil and gas, to great literature and art – as well as exceedingly accomplished and skilled as an outdoorsman, especially fishing and hunting, which he enjoyed immensely throughout the years. Most importantly, Fr. Beavers lived with the conviction that there was nothing more important in life than to know and love God and this, of course, is what Father Carl Beavers did best of all.

Father Carl Beavers was the best priest I have ever known, and I have known many. He personally sponsored my wife in her quest to become a Catholic. The best times I remember is when he came to the house for supper, which were not enough, or just stopped by when he saw me working in the field as he was driving by. A terrific human being and he will he missed. Rest In Peace Carl.

We were so sad to hear about the passing of Fr. Beavers.
God blessed him wIth so many incredible talents yet he was always such a humble person.
When our daughter Kathleen was planning her wedding 17 years ago, she specifically knew he was the only priest she wanted to conduct the wedding ceremony.
He was so happy to be part of her special day & he drove many miles to be in Cheyenne for her wedding.
It was a beautiful October weekend & he probably would’ve rather been hunting!!😊
Our family ccommented several times about how we can sit in the cathedral & still hear his amazing voice as he spoke & hear his beautiful voice singing the responses.
The heavenly choir 😇just added a talented new member.
Rest In Peace dear friend

I am not catholic. I never had the pleasure of hearing his sermon. I knew Carl as a friend and neighbor. Carl was kind, wise and he glowed with Gods spirit. Carl walked the walk. I miss him and his spirit will live on in many of us. Carl was A priest and a very good one from what I hear. He was also a very good man to me.
