Michael Robert Shanley, 81, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, at Big Horn Rehabilitation and Care Center.
Michael was born October 31, 1943, in Long Beach, California to Dorothy and Robert Shanley.
He was an agriculture major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Orange Coast College.
Mike was the head of the Audio Visual department at Orange Coast College for 26 years.
He was a member of Orange Co. Sheriff and Norco Mounted Deputies; of Antique Tractor Museum in Vista, California. He was active in small animal rescue and disaster evacuation in California. He enjoyed collecting, resorting, and repairing antique radios induding the collection at the Occidental Hotel in Buffalo, Wyoming.
Michael and his wife Maria owned and drove Percheron draft horses, appearing in many parades, wedding and other public settings including the Christmas Stroll.
Mike designed and put together sound systems for the Buffalo Fairgrounds.
Mike was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Robert Shanley, sister, Elaine, and many dogs, horses and cats.
Survived by his wife of 40 years, Maria Shanley.

Remembering fondly Mike for his good nature and willingness to share his gifts of repairing and updating good old things; my own bedroom lamp is one he worked on for me. Celebrating with you, Maria, the life God gave you and Mike and your happy marriage of so many years!
