Christopher Fort

Christopher Earl Fort was born on November 4, 1982, in Sheridan, WY to Randy and Wanda Fort.

He was raised in Sheridan and attended Sheridan schools.

Chris had a love of trucks, horses, and the cowboy life.

Chris loved to work alongside his Dad, they followed a harvest crew. At a young age, Chris drove the combine machine during the harvest; it was a John Deere with a 30-foot header!

Chris also worked various jobs around methane, such as a driller, and he also fused pipes. Chris started working in the family trucking business in 2008, where he hauled cattle, hay and gravel. After a few years, Chris purchased his own semi and ran under his Dad’s authority. They worked side-by-side until his passing.

Chris married in 2010; to this union he had four daughters: Lillian, Paisley, Scarlett and Willow. He and his wife later divorced.

In 2022, he met Lauren. He and Lauren spent a lot of time together, going on many adventures with his four daughters, and her two sons, Brooks and Cooper. He truly enjoyed spending time with all the kids. Chris also mentored a young boy named Chris Melneck.

Chris was an amazing father and friend to others. Chris loved the outdoors, horses, trucking and his family.

Chris was survived by his daughters, His dad Randy and step-mom Barbara Fort, his mom Wanda Martinez, his sisters Jamie, Jennifer, Maggie and Dana and brother Jarrad.

Chris will be missed by all his life-long friends, family and the many farmers, ranchers and city workers he hauled for.

May the Good Lord protect and look over the cowboys.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kane Funeral Home on Saturday, August 24th, 2024 at 11:30AM to honor the life of Christopher Fort followed by a reception immediately after the service in Kane Funeral Home Reception Hall.
