Bill was born in Whittier CA April 21, 1952, to William and Carolyn Maggiore Rohrbaugh. The family moved to Salt Lake City and then later to Santa Barbara, CA. He graduated from San Marcos High School in 1970.

His dream was to be a sports announcer. He got his chance when he was 20 at a small radio station in Apopka FL. He did announce for Rawlins College and conducted interviews at a few MLB Spring Training games. He liked the interaction with the teams, but was homesick and discouraged by the working conditions. He decided to move back to Santa Barbara when he was 21.  A family friend offered him a job at First American Title Company in Las Vegas, NV in 1976 which turned out to be his true calling.  His title insurance career started there, and through hard work and a knack with people, he rose to Senior Vice President – County Manager at Ticor Title.

He retired in 2007 and he and his wife, Rita, moved to Sheridan, WY.  He loved golfing with his numerous buddies, who he referred to as the “Knuckleheads”,  and they, in turn, nicknamed him Billy P.  He was invited to become a director on the Sheridan College Foundation board where he served 9 years as President and was extremely supportive of the students in the Student Partner program. He served on the Powder Horn HOA board, and the Design Review Committee, and was a member of the Big Horn Lions Club.

Bill is survived by Rita, his wife of 45 years, daughter Stephanie in Henderson, NV, and his sister, Janet, in Las Vegas, NV.

A Celebration of Life will be at the Powder Horn on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

Online condolences may be written at www.kanefuneral.com. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
