James Richard Larson

James “Jim” Richard Larson, 70, of Sheridan, WY, formerly of Mobridge, S.D. passed on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in Sheridan, WY, with his loved ones at his side.

Jim was born on June 26, 1953, in Mobridge, S.D. to Alton Leroy and Bernice (Wientjes) Larson. He worked for Burlington Northern for 36 years. He married his high school sweetheart in 1972 and raised their family in Sheridan, WY.

Jim loved hunting and raising his horses. He attended his grandchildren’s sporting events and especially loved working with his horse with his granddaughter.

Jim is survived by his wife, Victoria Larson, son Jim (Ivy) Larson, and grandchildren Emma and Christopher Larson. Also, his mother Bernice Larson, brothers Tom (Kathy) Larson, Marty (Deb) Larson, numerous nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Leroy Larson and his son Christopher Larson.
