Bob Crawford

Funeral services for Bob Crawford, a 91-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away Sunday afternoon at his home in Buffalo will be held Thursday, March 30th at 10:00 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Buffalo with Pastor Paul Cain officiating.  The interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery at a later date. Bobby Dean Crawford was born on May 18, 1931, in Atkinson, Nebraska to Harvey and Blanche Crawford.  Second to the youngest of seven children he moved to Sussex, Wyoming and later to Buffalo where he attended Johnson County High School.  He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1949 at the age of 19 and served in the Korean War on the USS Rochester as a radar tech and shore patrol.  He received an honorable discharge in 1954 and lived in Washington State. He was married on November 26, 1954, to Donna Marie Rostad in Tacoma, Washington and they lived in Washington where Bob worked several jobs but the main job was in heating and air conditioning.  He retired and moved back to Buffalo where he was married on February 10, 1994, in Buffalo to Bev Campbell.  Bob worked for the Texaco Ranch and the Polo Ranch.  He continued living in Buffalo until his death.

He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheridan. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Bev Crawford or Buffalo; one son Eric Crawford and his wife LaVonne of Gig Harbor, Washington; two daughters Cindy Thornhill and her husband Tony of Trenton, Illinois, and Jeannine Skinner also of Gig Harbor; four stepchildren, Gary Campbell and his wife Tracy of Buffalo, Linda Myers and her husband Rod of Sheridan, Wyoming, Pat Campbell and his wife Paula of Buffalo, and Kim Norman and her husband Randy of Buffalo: seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, and one brother.
