Pat Little

Mass of Christian Burial for Pat Little, 92-year-old longtime Leiter, Wyoming resident who passed away late Thursday evening at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be celebrated Wednesday, May 4th at 10:00 a.m. from the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Pete Johnson as Celebrant. A Vigil Service will be held on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to immediately follow the mass. A reception will be held following the Mass and graveside at the Catholic Hall. Donations may be made in Pat’s name to the St. Johns the Baptist Catholic Church in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Daniel Patrick “Pat” Little was born on April 27, 1930, in Sheridan, Wyoming to Philip and Teresa Little. He grew up on the family ranch in Leiter and attended Cadiz Country School. He attended Johnson County High School and graduated with the class of 1948. In 1951 he Joined the U.S. Airforce and spent a year in Japan. After four years of military service, he received an honorable discharge and returned to Wyoming. He was married in 1964 in Buffalo to Billie May and they made their home on the family ranch in Leiter, where Pat lived his life ranching with his brothers. In 2017 he retired and he and Billie moved into Buffalo where he lived until his death.
Pat was a devoted member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a member of the Sheridan County ASCS for one term. His passion was ranching and he enjoyed time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Billie of Buffalo; one brother Phil Little and his wife Glory of Leiter, Wyoming; four nieces, Lisa (Little) Lohof and her husband Tim of Birney, Montana, Shannon (Little) Herzog and her husband Larry of Buffalo, Mary (Little) Talbott of Buffalo, and Carrie Little of Leiter, Wyoming; and one nephew Sam Little and his wife of Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jack Little.
