Wyoming State Baseball Ends Today / 2021 Fall Sports Season is Right Around the Corner

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The state American Legion “AA” state tournament ends today, on Thursday Laramie eliminated Casper 5-4 in extra innings and Cheyenne clobbered Evanston 15-8.

Today Laramie will play Post 6 for the title the first game is at 11:00, Laramie has to win two games today as they play with one loss.

The Northwest Regional American Legion tournament starts next week in Gillette.

FALL HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS – The fall high school sports season opens August 9th that is the first day of football practice for 4-A schools.

And with the start of the new season the Sheridan football officials association is gearing up for another battle between the lines, association spokesman Owen Mullinax says they are always looking for new officials and the group makes it easy for those wishing to try out something new.

And he says the Sheridan association not only covers our local high school teams but all sub varsity program in Sheridan county so new officials will have plenty of opportunities to hone their skills.

The first meeting again will take place in the training room at Sheridan high school at 5:30 on August 16th.
