SHS Sports Season off to Great Start / Busy Week Coming up in Local Sports

SCHOOL SPORTS / COVID – The fall sports season is off to a great start at Sheridan high school with great finishes to the golf and tennis seasons. High school Activities Director Don Julian says those results got them off to a fine start to the school year.

And he says with some new state orders it has allowed teams and schools more flexibility to continue to compete.

And finally today Julian compliments all parents and fans for sticking with the COVID protocols to keep the season going.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL – The Sheridan Broncs play at Natrona county Friday we will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM the First Federal pregame show will start at 6:30 with kickoff at 7:00.

The Big Horn Rams host Torrington, the Tongue River Eagles play at Upton / Sundance Friday at 6:00.

CLASSIC COWBOY FOOTBALL – This week’s University of Wyoming classic football game will be the Pokes vs Central Michigan in the 2017 Potato bowl in Boise the Cowboys won 37-14 the game will air Saturday at 1:00 on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

BRONCO FOOTBALL – The Denver Broncos play at the NY Jets Thursday night kickoff is at 6:20 on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

VOLLEYBALL – The Lady Bronc volleyball team is on the road this week with games in Cheyenne with Central and East

The Tongue River Lady Eagles play at Moorcroft Saturday,

The Big Horn Lady Rams host Kaycee Friday and Sundance Saturday.

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers host duals with Thunder Basin and Campbell county Friday and travel to Casper to face off with Natrona county and Kelly Walsh.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks hockey team will open their season this week on the road at Bozeman, Montana.

The home opening series will be will be on the 9th and 10th when they host Butte, Montana.
