SC Travel and Tourism shares the story of art in Sheridan

Sheridan County Travel and Tourism has released its Local Travel & Tourism Industry Update for March 2022. 

The update includes an announcement of a new documentary project, The Story of Art in America, which features local Sheridan artists.  

This documentary takes a close look at art throughout the country and how it plays a role in society, from cities to small rural communities. 

Sheridan County Travel and Tourism Executive Director Shawn Parker said he had met with producer Pierre Gervois at an industry event a few years ago and pitched Sheridan County as an arts destination.

“I have had a great relationship with many of the artists that eventually made the final shoot list, but had the pleasure of meeting several others while we searched for a good cross-section of individuals from a variety of disciplines,” Parker said in an email to Sheridan Media. “I think the final product truly showcases the scope and breadth of Sheridan’s art community, and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.”

The documentary project is now available to watch on Amazon Prime. The Story of Art in America, episode 7, features Sheridan artists.
