Kinskey Talks CREG Report

The Consensus Revenue Estimating Group recently released their updated report for reference in the upcoming Budget Session of the 65th Wyoming Legislature. Local Senator for District 22 Dave Kinskey shared the details on the people responsible for preparing the CREG Report.
The October report was bleak and the most recent additions have not inspired much good news according to Senator Kinskey.
Kinskey said that the state Legislative Stabilization Reserve Account ,often referred to as the rainy day fund, still has well over $1.5 billion remaining should Legislators decide to use some of those funds to combat the deficit. On February 10, the Legislature will convene at the State Capitol to decide the next steps in addressing low revenue and to craft the budget for the next two years.
