UW Involved in Native Plant Delisting

The scientists at the University of Wyoming has contributed research to the removal of federal protection for a plant found in southeast Wyoming, northern Colorado, and Western Nebraska. UW Vice President for Communications and Marketing Chad Baldwin talked more about the delisting of the Colorado butterfly plant.
The plant was originally listed as threatened in 2000 under the endangered species act. In November, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that the Colorado butterfly would be delisted and it was taken off the list on December 5.
