Story area residents who suffered property damage as a result of high winds two weeks ago, are eligible to get some reimbursement on clean-up costs.
The Story Volunteer Fire Department says the Sheridan County Fuels Mitigation Program is offering up to $500 to those residents who hired a legitimate contractor, to help remove tree debris from the wind event that happened on November 16, 2021.
Funds are available on a first come, first serve basis and are subject to fund availability.
Residents must provide an invoice or receipt with the landowner’s and contractor’s name, plus it must list where and when the work was done, and prove how payment to the contractor was made.
Reimbursements will only be made to the owner of the property listed on the invoice.
Invoices and receipts can be sent to:
Sheridan County, Wyoming Attn: Renee’ Obermueller 224 S. Main Street, Ste. B-1 Sheridan, WY 82801
You can also contact Paul Wright, Fuels Mitigation Coordinator, at 307-683-3370, for more information.
