Aaron PalmerJohnson County’s Commissioners have passed a resolution amending their 2021-22 budget to show the transfer of grant funds from the Wyoming Department of Homeland Security.
The amount of the amendment is $22,633.
In an earlier meeting, County Emergency Management Coordinator Marilyn Connolly explained that she had applied for funding to purchase the firewalls for the county and to update the Emergency Operations Center laptop computers; as well as to replace the repeaters on the county’s radio system.
Connolly said she had originally asked for a little more than $100,000 in the grant application but received the total of nearly $23,000 in the grant award, which reflects the amount of the budget amendment.
The funding will be used to replace the county’s repeaters for their radio system, according to earlier discussions.
