Ron RichterThe Wyoming Business Council has released its annual report, detailing the state economic development agency’s efforts to realize diverse, broad and lasting economic growth for Wyoming. According to information from the Business Council, the report describes the agency’s refreshed strategy, which was built collaboratively with business owners, industry expects, community leaders and local economic developers to address the State’s changing economic conditions. The report also highlights successes and establishes the Business Council’s tactics for 2020.
Business Council Interim CEO Amy Grenfell said that 2019 was a year of change for the Business Council, and that when it comes to diversifying and developing Wyoming’s economy, the State is facing a greater challenge than ever before. She added that they celebrated many successes with businesses and communities throughout the year, and that they look forward to continuing to create new opportunities for everyone in Wyoming.
Grenfell said that in the year ahead, they will be expanding their support of local startup efforts and connecting entrepreneurs to more resources and investors, and that they will re-imagine their export assistance program and focus their efforts on developing amenities that attract and retain workforce for their core and new industries.
