The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, after getting approval from the city council for the road closure on Main Street downtown, has announced that the annual Monster March celebration will be happening again this year.

The event, which allows area children to trick-or-treat businesses in a controlled, safe environment, will be offered on Friday, October 29th.

Businesses from all over town set up areas on the sidewalks downtown and children and their parents walk along Main Street from the Jim Gatchell Museum south to Angus Street and back to the Chamber of Commerce collecting candy and other goodies for Halloween.

The chamber is recommending masks be worn by both marchers and those handing out the goodies.

Businesses interested in being a part of this year’s Monster March should contact the Chamber of Commerce to sign up and reserve a spot downtown.

Contact the Chamber at 684-5544 or stop by 55 North Main.
