Governor’s Financial Transparency Group to Meet This Month

The Wyoming Financial Transparency Working Group will meet in Cheyenne on Monday December 16. According to a news release from Governor Mark Gordon’s Office, the agenda for the gathering includes an update from the State Auditor’s Office on the state’s online checkbook WyOpen, an overview of the Wyoming Sense website, an introduction to Public Records Ombudsman Ruth Van Mark, and a discussion of next steps for the Financial Advisory Council. 

Governor Gordon and State Auditor Kristi Racines created the group to develop specific solutions to improve transparency and accessibility to state data. Along with Gordon and Racines, Senator Cale Case, Representative Tom Walters, Gail Symons, John Masters, and Kristen Czaban make up the team. This meeting will be live streamed via the groups youtube channel.
