Lummis, Colleagues Introduce Bill to Designate Taliban as Foreign Terrorist Organization

U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming joined Senators Marco Rubio, Tommy Tuberville, Shelley Moore Capito, Dan Sullivan and Thom Tillis in introducing the Preventing Recognition of Terrorist States Act. The bills, as it is being proposed, would direct the U.S. Secretary of State to designate the illegitimate Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan as a state sponsor of terrorism and the Taliban as a terrorist organization.
Senator Lummis said the Taliban has a long record of human rights violations and terrorist actions, and we must not exacerbate the Biden administration’s failure in Afghanistan by legitimizing the Taliban’s government, and that we should call the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan what it is: a state sponsor of terror run by a terrorist organization.
The bill would also impose sanctions against foreign individuals who knowingly provide assistance to the Taliban and require a report, within six months, from the U.S. Department of State that determines whether the Taliban should be designated as a significant foreign narcotics trafficker under the Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act. Additionally, the legislation would require the U.S. government to ensure that taxpayer dollars do not go to foreign terrorist organizations in Afghanistan.

Interesting. Since the taliban and al-qaeda are basically the same thing, I thought that the designation had already existed?
By the way, senator, when will team biden be held responsible for the treason that they committed there?

Doesn’t she know that it was her beloved Chump who authorized pulling out of Afghanistan? Who knows. Neither she nor her cronies in DC have ever cared about actual facts.
