The Sheridan City Council along with Mayor Rich Bridger recently received the latest sales and use tax numbers for the City of Sheridan for the month of June. City Treasurer Karen Burtis said the numbers continue to be positive.
Burtis said the Internet sales tax is up almost 22 percent, or $7,000 when compared to last year and that year-to-date it is up 15.5 percent, or $10,000. Burtis added that the majority of the larger communities in the state averaged around a 20 percent increase in sales and use tax for the month of June.
