Clearmont Ice Cream Social a Success

The Clearmont Historic Group ice cream social in Branding Iron Park drew around 30 people. Ira Roadifer made the ice cream and had this to say.
Fran Felz and Sandy Hirz of the Clearmont Historic Group served the ice cream and Felz said she felt that the day was perfect for the social, and that everyone seemed to be enjoying it. There was no charge but donations were welcome.
The Clearmont Historic Group will hold its August meeting on Monday, Aug. 16, at2:00 PM at the Clearmont Community Center.
Topics for discussion will be the railroad brick status; the web page and Facebook page update; inventory of the Clearmont books, and status of the map file, which is being paid for out of the PRECORP Grant.
Carrie Edinger will give a report on Sheridan County Historic Preservation Commission August 11 meeting held in Clearmont.
Leland Sanders will hold two book signings on the Ucross, Where the Creeks Converge and the Routes Diverge, A Backward Glance Series book. On Monday, August 16 at the Buffalo Senior Center at noon and on Wednesday, August 18, at the HUB on Smith in Sheridan at noon.
Everyone is welcome at the meetings.
