City of Buffalo Adds to Trail System

The Buffalo City Council has passed a Resolution that will add a trail to the existing Buffalo Trails System.

The addition is Joe’s Trail, which is located west of Buffalo near the old Crippled Children’s Camp, according to discussions at the recent city council meeting.

The Buffalo Trails Board, back in 2020, approached the city asking them to adopt the trail into the city’s trail system.

Trails Board Chairperson Ed Von Holst explained at the city council meeting in 2020 that the trail had been worked by a private individual and the board wanted to add it to the trail system.

City Attorney Ben Kirven has been working to legally bring the trail into the city’s trail system and the Resolution was the culmination of that work.
