Ron RichterU.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, in a speech before the Senate this week, raised concerns about two of President Joe Biden’s political nominees. President Biden nominated David Chipman to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco & Explosives (ATF) and Tracy Stone-Manning to head up the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Senator Lummis said both would have an outsized influence on the state of Wyoming. Lummis said that under Stone-Manning, she’s very concerned that multiple use principles will change.
As far as nominee Chipman, Lummis said one would be hard-pressed to identify a worse candidate for the job.
The BLM is tasked with administering federal lands. The BLM has jurisdiction over more than 18 million acres in Wyoming and 247 million acres nationwide. The ATF is a federal law enforcement organization tasked with investigating and preventing the unlawful use, manufacture, and possession of alcohol, firearms, tobacco, and explosives.

Sen. Lummis – how about when the US capitol was stormed by GOP supporters trying to stop a legitimate election? Are you going to honor your oath to protect the US from all enemies, domestic or foreign? You’ve said nothing about that, but are quick to pander to the crazy GOP money and pretend that enemies only lie in the other party. Your infatuation with status, power and money at the expense of a democratic country is awfully transparent.

Off topic transference comments aside (west), I certainly agree with Lummis on objecting to both nominees. Chipman is a power-hungry nut job, who has probably had an axe to grind since getting his books knocked out of his hands in high school. His statements about law-abiding gun owners and bypassing due process are alarming.
Stone-Manning is a previous eco-terrorist (which should tell you all you need to know about her suitability to run the BLM) and a liar. Assigning her to look over federal lands is akin to assigning a cop-killer to a police reform committee (oh yeah, we have allowed that to happen too…).
I hear the lip service for bipartisanship and cooperation-but there is no denying the reality of the agenda and its relentless push.
