The Buffalo City Police Department will be able to conduct alcohol and tobacco compliance checks through the spring of 2022, after the city council voted to allow the BPD to accept grant funding through WASCOP, or the Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police.

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder explained the grants further.

Also in his report to the council, Chief Carder said during the month of June there were 1,032 incidents in the city, dispatch handled nearly 4,400 calls, and that there was no report from the ACO, who has been helping out in the dispatch center.
