Clearmont and Leiter To Host Three Day Weekend Events

Although Clearmont will not have an official Clearmont Day this year, there is a lot going on the weekend of June 25-27.

Kicking off the activities will be a kids poker run for kids of all ages around town. Kids can sign up at Clear Creek Stop, there is a $1 entry fee and no motorized vehicles. Winner with the best poker hand wins a cash prize, and there is a free Iccee when you sign up. For more information call Clear Creek Stop, 758-4511.

On Saturday there a corn hole tournament at Clear Creek Stop, with a smoked pork dinner at 6 pm and music starting at 7 pm.

There will be an all day music jam session at the Felz Ranch, 2 miles west of Clearmont. Bring your guitar or banjo or whatever and join in the music. Watch for signs or call 758-4524.

On Sunday the weekend wraps up with horseshoe tournament at Clear Creek Stop. Clear Creek Stop will provide free hamburgers but everyone is asked to bring a side dish to share.

At 7 pm there will a community movie night at the Clearmont Community Church, with a showing of Star Wars, A New Hope, with free popcorn and sodas.

A few miles east, the Leiter Bar will again host the Leiter motorcycle rally. Starting on Friday with a sign-in at 3 p.m, Saturday will be the big day there. The Art Perez Poker Run will get underway with proceeds to benefit the Advocacy and Resource Center; a slow race; a shovel race; and lots of music by “100 Proof” and the “Terry Waugh Band.” Food and drinks available for purchase at Leiter Bar and Cafe.
