According to the Wyoming Department of Corrections, as of Thursday June 17, the number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases identified in routine surveillance samplings conducted during the previous week was zero.

Three inmate deaths to date have been attributed to COVID-19.

WDC is reporting there are no cases of the virus in any of their facilities. Those facilities include the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution in Torrington, the Wyoming Honor Farm in Riverton, the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp located in Newcastle, the Wyoming Women’s Center in Lusk and the Wyoming State Penitentiary located in Rawlins.

According to the WDC, by working with the Wyoming Department of Health, all positive inmate cases are medically monitored and managed by the Department and their health care provider (Corizon Health, Inc.) in accordance with CDC guidelines.

The Department will continue to conduct rigorous surveillance testing at all sites as necessary and provide additional information as it becomes available.
