Pat BlairSheridan’s Holy Name School has received $5,000 in proceeds from from this year’s Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fries.
Due to the COVID pandemic, the procedure was changed for this year’s event, and the fish fry was held in a drive-through format. Despite the change, the Knights of Columbus reported that attendance to the event was good.
Sponsors of the event included Mark and Carrie Rogaczewski, Jeff Ricket Allstate Insurance, Sheridan Physical Therapy and Luminous Brewhouse.
Mary Martha Legler, who’s principal of the school, said the school is currently taking registrations for grades pre-kindergarten through fifth. Holy Name is a Catholic school, but she said all denominations are welcome. She said students at the school are challenged to be the best they can be in academics, the arts, sports and in showing respect for others.
She added class sizes are small, and the school provides a loving, family-like environment where the teachings of Jesus Christ and prayer are integral parts of daily education.
