Aaron PalmerJohnson County’s Commissioners have approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Kaycee-Buffalo-Johnson County Economic Development Joint Powers Board, owner/operator of the Bomber Mountain Civic Center as an emergency community shelter.
Commission Chairman Bill Novotny explained the action was a renewal of an existing MOU.
County Attorney Tucker Ruby, whose office drafted the MOU, said it spells out how the county may use the facility in the event of an emergency and the terms and conditions of use.
