Pat BlairSheridan College Management & Organization students have partnered with Black Tooth Brewing Company and The Hub on Smith Street to host two events to raise funds for Big Goose Transit’s Bus Stop Project.
The project is to provide two bus stop bench covers in Sheridan.
On March 31, Black Tooth Brewing will host a Pint Night from 6 to 8 p.m. During that time, a portion of each pint purchased will be donated to the Bus Stop Project. In addition, those attending the event can donate directly to the project and participate in a drink token raffle.
Students in the Sheridan College class will host a virtual auction from April 2 through April 12 featuring various items donated by local businesses. Items to be auctioned will include gift cards, apparel, art prints, a one-year car wash membership, one-year oil change certificate and gift baskets.
Students in Sheridan College’s Management & Organization class each year complete a special project to strengthen community ties, better the community and gain hands-on experience in management and organization. Students in the class vote on the project to take on.
This year’s project was suggested by student Ingrid Bailey, who said she came up with the idea after seeing people sitting on the snowy ground or pacing back and forth in the cold while waiting for the Goose Creek Transit buses.
For more information about the events and to participate in the auction next month, visit the Sheridan College Supports Our Seniors page on Facebook or contact Allison Gingerich, virtual auction manager at (307) 689-2501.

Thank you, Ingrid, for the suggestion! I hope to see more bus shelters popping up on the route! This is such a valuable service in our Community!
