Skijor Event Organizers Moving Forward with Plans
Claudia Todd, one of the organizers for the upcoming Johnson County Skijor Wars event, spoke to the Buffalo City Council at their meeting Tuesday, to update them on liability insurance for the event.
Todd said they have put insurance in place with HUB International through the Buffalo Lions Club, which is the sponsor for the February event.
Todd said they have updated the waiver form and have had discussions with various officials about the layout of the track, beverage service, and other factors concerning the event.
Councilman Dan Hart asked what will happen if there is no snow available for the event, and Jacy Todd explained their options.
He said, “Just pray for some snow.”
The Johnson County Skijor Wars is scheduled for Saturday, February 27th.
