Wright, Ringley take oaths of office

Sheridan County commissioners Lonnie Wright and Tom Ringley were sworn into office for 2021 Monday in the District Courtroom of Judge John Fenn.

Wright is joining the commission for his first term after being elected to office in November. Ringley was re-elected by voters to his fourth term.

Wright explained why he decided to run for a seat on the commission.

Wright said his history has been one of serving in various volunteer positions throughout the county.

Ringley has already served 12 years on the commissioners’ board, and asked why he decided to seek re-election, he said he couldn’t think of a good reason not to.

Ringley said he’d like to continue to keep Sheridan County on an even keel and make sure the county provides the services that are required.

Judge Fenn administered the oath of office to the two men.
