Pat BlairThe Sheridan College Viol and Flute Consort will take the stage in Kinnison Hall at the college’s Whitney Center for the Arts Thursday night in a concert featuring small ensembles.
The event starts at 7 p.m. and is open to the public both in-person and streaming online. The concert is free, but tickets to both in-person and online options are required.
Dr. Mark Elliot Bergman, director of the concert, said the event will feature a diverse repertoire, from madrigals to movie scores. The Sheridan Viol Consort will present 16th and 17th century pieces, including selections from the Tudor Court composed by Venetian master Giovanni Bassano.
Bergman said members of the ensembles will be socially distanced on stage and will wear specially designed masks where possible during the performance.
Tickets to both in-person and livestream performances are available online at sheridan.edu/arts or by calling (307) 670-0360.
