Pat BlairNow here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Nov. 12, 1920.
Hundreds of Sheridan citizens lined the sidewalks on Main street to watch the Armistice day anniversary parade that started at 2 o’clock this afternoon. Banks, city and county offices, stores, shops and offices closed at noon or 1 o’clock so their forces could join in the event.
Sparks falling from an open flue in a bedroom in the home of Jacob Market, 1158 North Sheridan avenue, caused several dollars worth of damage to bedding and woodwork in the room before firemen got the blaze extinguished this morning.
A large loaf of raisin bread is 20 cents at the Federal Bakery.
