Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation’s The Link-Partners in Pink fundraiser has exceeded the goal set for this year’s virtual event.

In a report to hospital trustees this week, Jasmine Slater, who’s the foundation’s volunteer services coordinator, said the foundation originally set a goal of $25,000 for the fundraiser.

But, Slater said, this year’s event drew over 25 sponsors and over 330 participants.

The event continues through Saturday, and people can still sign up until the last day, Slater said.

Funds raised in the annual run/walk benefit the hospital’s Welch Cancer Center, and funds raised this year go to the center’s Comfort Care program.

In an earlier interview with Sheridan Media, Ada Kirven, who’s the hospital foundation’s director of donor relations, said this is the 12th year for The Link.
