A Look Back in Time: Oct. 23, 1920

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Oct. 23, 1920.

Sheridan is to be well represented at the second annual meeting of the Custer Battlefield Hiway association at Lewistown, Montana, on Oct. 25 and 26.

Allen Macy of Sheridan, a veteran of the Grand Army of the Republic, has made a standing offer of $10 to any opponent of the League of Nations who will sign an affidavit that they have read and studied the organization’s covenant.

Federal Prohibition Officers, accompanied by Police Chief W. S. McPherren, seized five stills and $30,000 worth of moonshine in a series of raids throughout the city this week.
