Pat BlairEarly voting for the Nov. 3 general election starts this coming Monday.
Sheridan County Clerk Eda Schunk Thompson said people can come to the election office on the second floor of the Sheridan County courthouse and cast their absentee ballots at that time.
Thompson said early voting will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, through 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2.
As in years past, polls will be open on Nov. 3 from 7 a.m, until 7 p.m., and Thompson said all 18 polling places will be open on election day.
Absentee voting is also going on now, and absentee ballots will be accepted provided they are returned to the county clerk’s office by 7 p.m. election day.
Thompson said absentee ballots will not be accepted at the polling places on election day.
