In his report to the Buffalo City Council for the month of September, Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder, requested the council accept nearly $17,000 in grant funding from the Johnson County Prevention Council.

The funding will be used for officer overtime and to pay for underage buyers for alcohol and tobacco compliance checks, party patrols, and DUI patrols this Holiday season.

The council did accept the grant funding.

Additionally, he reported that for his department there were roughly 1,300 incidents in the city during the month, and dispatch handled just over 4,100 calls.

The end of the month report for Animal Control showed she responded to no calls in the county, and therefor the county was not charged during the month.
