Aaron PalmerPlan One Architects’ Dan Odasz, during his presentation on their pending COVID-19 Funding project to the Johnson County Healthcare Center’s Board of Trustees, was asked to give an update on the new Veterans Skilled Nursing Facility, which will be constructed west of Buffalo.
Odasz said construction will begin soon on the project.
The veterans skilled nursing facility, when completed, will be part of the Veterans Home of Wyoming campus west of Buffalo at Fort McKinney.
The design plan is to construct three “pods” that will each house 12 residents, one of which will be a lock-down facility.
There will also be a pad constructed for a possible expansion to a fourth pod.
The facility will be constructed just south of the existing veterans home facility, on the ridge overlooking Clear Creek.
